Girls Night Out

Every chic needs the break. Away from office chaos, boyfriends and all that stuff (a friend of mine cannot stay away from her boyfriend so that doesn't apply!). There are times that ladies just need to chill and well, talk about girl stuff.

Last night I was chilling with two of my very, very close girlfriends (hope the other one doesn't get big headed about the fact that I called her close), I love these girls, and we ordered a take out and just sat and watched a movie. It was so relaxing I must say. It was different from every other night that I am stuck in my apartment, sleeping or eating. We talked about hair, about food, about dresses you know the whole lot and we dissed each other (my favorite part!!)

Sometimes life at work can get really overwhelming and its all just a routine in the end, work then home, work then home, work the home. That's just boring. A night off can do wonders to a persons mood the next day (I am living proof). Just a few ideas of my own on what you might get up to:
  • Spa Night
  • Karaoke night (It doesn't matter how horrible your voice sounds)
  • Chef's night (Teach each other something different to cook, something the other doesn't know)
  • Dress up (Its not childish, actually very fun, add make up to make it more exciting)
  • Just sit and talk :) there is no harm with a little bonding.

Why don't you just treat yourself today? Have a "girl" night out on your own. Get home from work, soak yourself in those bath salts and oils that you are saving up for a special occasion coz today is a special occasion! Wear your favorite panties and PJ's, play soft music in the background and relax. You deserve it coz you hot!

Oh and my friend went to see her boyfriend right after we had finished a perfect night out! Talk about cute xxx

To be or not to be?

What ever happened to faith? What ever happened to believing that "believing" is the first step to having? You know many people underestimate themselves in order not to get hurt. They don't believe that they can do something. So here is the norm, "If I don't believe it will happen and it doesn't happen then I avoid being hurt. But if I do believe it will happen then it doesn't happen, then I will have wounds to nurse. I don't want that" Hey you?! If you do believe then there is no doubt that it will happen! If you work at it will happen. One speaker at the J - Activation that passed, his name is Nic van Tonder, said that if God can hold the universe that he created in the palm of His hand, how big are the blocks of gold that He used to pave heaven?

How can we find difficulty with believing and trusting the God who created the heavens and the earth? Beats me.

Nothing is impossible if you believe. I totally believe that. There is so much that has happened in my life coz of the faith I have. You just have to choose whether you are going to live in a pitiful comfortable state or no matter how things may look in the natural, you will stand with your head high and believe that all things will turn for the best. Trust me they always do.

Today I chose to...

You know sometimes I feel like we control the happenings of our day to day lives emotionally. I am not one to let feelings affect my day to day life (I hate to brag) . I have had so many incidents that I have reacted in a totally different manner to what the one inflicting the torment would expect, a shock to the 2nd party most times. My main reason being that, at that moment I can chose to get offended with what I am being told or I can take it a a learning phase.

Its not like I don't have emotion and I am numb, but I wont let a person spoil my whole mood because of a stupid comment or because I am just stubborn.

I have started a thing with myself where I write down what I want to do each day something that will cheer me up or cheer someone else up. And cheering someone up makes me so happy. As time goes by, you will find that people enjoy you and want to hang around you. Let me give you examples of what I tell myself each day.

Today I chose to

  • Not let anything or anyone get to me

  • Smile the whole day

  • Make coffee for my boss a surprise

  • Look for the best in everyone

  • Take rebuke as a lesson

  • Wear my best shoe coz tomorrow isn't promised

  • Make the best food for my visitors

  • Do more listening and less talking

  • Forgive the person that bumped me in the mall and didn't apologise

  • Admire how beautiful that girl is and not find flaws

I could go on and on. Try it! at the end of the day, you will feel so good tomorrow you will chose to do something you never dared to do ;) Like smsing a friend and telling them how awesome they are. Be a smile maker!

One step at a time...

My best friend is getting married next year, wow! I am so excited for her. Countless times we have gone to the shops window shopping for her wedding dress and ring and all that stuff you know. And we still are. She and her boyfriend could get married now if they could if it wasn't for the financial strains. I don't blame them, took them a lot to get to where they are to day (and so much self control I could never attain!)
I was just day dreaming one day of MY wedding, and not hers for once, and it was hard to imagine myself giving me over to a dude for the rest of my life. Ofcoz i want a life partner and I don't wanna be old and lonely one day. But when does one decide "This is it, we getting married"?? I know so many sisters that have been in relationships for years and are still waiting for the brother to pop the question, without pressuring him ofcoz. Whats up with dudes and the "M" word? OK fine so people have to taken it one step at a time but what kind of step is a 5 year step! That's a helluva step if you ask me, my leg is getting a bit sore, when we taking the next step??

When is it the perfect timing to get married? All I know is that the brother better have enough for a big dime, one big enough to not even choke me!
